Don’t blame your genes if you can’t lose weight

Nurture 1 vs. Nature 0. You may be able to blame your genes for increasing your risk of obesity, but not for failing to lose that extra weight. This finding was based on a comprehensive study of over 9,000 people, led by John Mathers, Professor of Human Nutrition at Newcastle University. He says: “You can no longer blame your genes. Our study shows that improving your diet and being more physically active will help you lose weight, regardless of your genetic makeup.”


Stretching is a critical part of any exercise regime

Most of us do not stretch enough.
